What is Poke?

Poke (pronounced POH-keh) means “to slice or cut” in Hawaiian referring to cubes of marinated sushi grade fish which is then tossed over rice and topped with Umami-rich sauces.

While poke is originally Hawaiian, it takes inspiration from Japanese cuisine. Here at Poke Don we have dishes from both cultures.
